Our department is one of the general departments of Qilu Hospital, which specializes in burn treatment, chronic wounds, deformity repairing and cosmetic plastic surgery. We has treated more than 10,000 burn patients, including more than 3,000 patients with severe burns, and many of them with extensive burns. While the majority of patients received life-saving treatment, their functions have also been well recovered and satisfactory clinical results have been obtained.
After 1994, the members of our department went to the United States, Beijing, Shanghai and other places to further study, and successively carried out new technologies, including skin soft tissue expansion, scarring alopecia repair, total auricle reconstruction, total nasal reconstruction, free skin flap transplantation and so on, which are leading level in the province. With various flap and skin graft techniques, we repaired difficult and complex scar contracture deformities, giant uterine diseases, and extensive skin and soft tissue avulsions, and applied plastic principles and techniques not only to radical resect of various surface tumors throughout the body, but also to repair and reconstruct. which not only treats the disease, but also greatly improves the patient's appearance. While treating the disease, the patient's appearance is greatly improved. With the development of society, people's pursuit of beauty is getting higher, more and more people are required to undergo beauty surgery. Since the end of the 1980s, we have carried out double eyelid, eye bag removal, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, and wrinkle removal. Using new equipment to carry out beauty projects such as hydrodynamic liposuction and laser beauty, and at the same time carry out the rapid development of micro plastic surgery in recent years, such as botulinum toxin injection and hyaluronic acid filling treatment, providing an advanced, safe and reliable medical platform for the majority of beauty seekers .
There is a medical staff of twenty-one,including seven physicians and forteen nurses. Among the physicians,is chiefphysician/professors,associated chief physicians,attending physicians.
Our department currently has 38 beds. There is a burn and plastic surgery specialist clinic in the outpatient department, and an independent medical beauty clinic and an independent plastic surgery operating room. There are newly purchased liposuction machines, laser treatment devices and other medical beauty equipment.
Our department has been responsible for teaching tasks, internships and internships for five-year undergraduates and graduate students of Shandong University School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Stomatology for nearly 20 years. In 1998, the plastic surgery major was selected as a doctoral degree. In 1999, it began to recruit master students and cultivated dozens of doctoral and master students. Currently, there are 6 graduate students. In 2002, a doctor entered the post-doctoral mobile station to start research. More than ten doctors in our department went to Beijing Plastic Surgery Hospital, Peking University Third Hospital, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital for advanced studies or PhD degrees. In addition, he has participated in many international and domestic academic exchanges.
In recent years, our department has won 2 second prizes for scientific and technological achievements of universities in Shandong Province, 1 second prize of natural science theoretical achievements by Shandong Education Commission, 1 third prize for excellent scientific research achievements of Shandong Province, and 3 outstanding scientific research achievements of Shandong universities 1 prize. He has edited 4 books such as "Cosmetology and Plastic Surgery" and "Modern Surgery", participated in editing 16 books, presided over a number of scientific research projects such as the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, and published more than 100 academic papers.
We also carried out experimental research on tissue engineering. Animal experiments on bone formation in vivo after human bone marrow stromal cells combined with absorbable scaffold materials have obtained good results, proving that human bone marrow stromal stem cells can be used as seed cells to construct tissue engineered bone. And participated in the research of the tissue engineering part of the national "863" and "973" plans.
