Radiotherapy

The Department of Radiotherapy was founded in 1996 as an important part of cancer treatment center of Qilu Hospital. Since its inception, it has been strongly supported by the National Health Commission and Qilu Hospital. The department has maintained its position as a national leader in providing expert, compassionate, prompt cancer care, high quality teaching and research.
 
The Department of Radiation Oncology at FUSCC now consisted of six full professors, seven associate professors and twelve assistant professors, who provide the best service to our patients . Over the years, the faculty has trained the largest groups of residents in radiation oncology in China.
 
Over the years, the center has maintained good cooperation with many hospitals inside and outside the province. At present, radiotherapy department has become an important department with complete setting, advanced equipment and standardized treatment, and its comprehensive diagnosis and treatment ability has reached the advanced level in China.
 
The Department of Radiotherapy of Qilu Hospital consists of three divisions that include accelerator treatment, physics and clinical divisions. Using one state-of-the-art linear accelerators and one Tomotherapy system, we are able to offer a full range of both conventional and high-technology patient care services, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy and image guided radiation therapy to allow radiation doses to be delivered to the tumor more accurately and thus minimize risks to adjacent normal tissue injuries.
