On July 2nd,Guangming Daily (July 2, 2022, page 10 ) published an interview article with Sun Ruopeng in the column of ‘Listening to the doctors’ under the title of ‘ Sun Ruopeng: A pediatrician should see things from the other person's point of view’. Professor Sun Ruopeng is a pediatric specialist from the Department of Pediatrics of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. The article describes Professor Sun Ruopeng's medical experience and his insights as a pediatrician.



As a pioneer in the field of pediatric neurology in our country, Professor Sun Ruopeng wrote the first book on pediatric epilepsy in China. He conducted in-depth research on the pathogenesis of pediatric epilepsy and the clinical treatment of intractable epilepsy, forming a unique set of diagnosis and treatment plan for children with epilepsy, which has made the remission rate of children with epilepsy up to over 80%. Sun Ruopeng won the first "Chinese Pediatrician Achievement Award", the highest award for pediatricians set up and awarded by the pediatrics branch of Chinese Medical Association.

Professor Sun Ruopeng said in the interview that he has been a pediatrician for years and treated many children. What impressed him most deeply is the selfless and unconditional love of parents for their children. A good pediatrician must have empathy, care for children, and understand parents. At the same time, he must be dedicated to his work and love his work. In addition, a solid theoretical basis and rich clinical experience are also very important.
