Qilu Hospital of Shandong University Held the Talent Forum of High-Quality Development for the 130th Anniversary

On October 18, 2020, the Talent Forum on High-Quality Development for the 130th Anniversary of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University was held in Shandong Hotel. Chen Yuguo, President of Qilu Hospital delivered a speech. Ge Junbo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences spoke as a representative of Alumni. A number of scholars gave keynote speeches and participated in discussions.  Ji Chunyan and Yan Chuanzhu, Vice Presidents of Qilu Hospital, Xu Feng, Director of Human Resource Department, and Lyu Ming, Director of Education Department hosted the opening ceremony, keynote speech and discussion sessions respectively.





Chen Yuguo pointed out in his speech that talents are the soul of the hospital. In recent years, the hospital attaches great importance to the work of talents, vigorously implements "special service, systematic cultivation, funding support, and guaranteed service", and is committed to building a high-level talent team. At present, Qilu Hospital is in a precious period filled with strategic opportunities of development. The National Health Commission and the Shandong Provincial Government have identified the hospital as the main unit for construction of the comprehensive regional medical center at national level. Shandong University has clarified the hospital’s important mission in its Double First-Class University project. Talent affairs is the top priority in our hospital’s development. In this forum, we will invite all leaders, scholars, and alumni to give guidance, clarify policies, set goals, find gaps, and take talent work as a breakthrough to drive the hospital to achieve high-quality development.





Ge Junbo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, sent his best wishes on the 130th anniversary of Qilu Hospital and reviewed the good time of studying and living here in his alma mater. He called on everyone to strengthen support, offer suggestions and make new contributions for the development of Shandong University.
 
Wang Jianxiang, deputy director of the Hematology Hospital of the Institute of Hematology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Jiao Liqun, deputy director of the Department of Neurosurgery, Beijing Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University, Dong Pin, Director of E.N.T. Department, Shanghai First People's Hospital and other experts and scholars gave keynote speeches and participant in discussions on several topics such as talent introduction and cultivation, discipline construction, education and research, hospital development, exchanges and cooperation.





More than 80 people including outstanding experts and alumni representatives, directors of hospital departments, and heads of related administrative departments attended the meeting. In addition, more than 10 overseas experts and alumni sent their greetings to the 130th anniversary of Qilu Hospital through videos. The forum was broadcast live to alumni and medical professionals at home and abroad.
