ShuJun Xu, male, M.D., Ph.D., professor of neurosurgery, chief physician, masters’supervisor, is the vice-chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. He also serves concurrently as the committee member of Neuromodulation branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Functional Neurosurgery of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Spine and Spinal cord of Chinese Medical Association, Neurosurgery of Shandong Provincial Medical Association, Pain Medicine of Shandong Provincial Medical Association, and Neurosurgery of Shandong Provincial Medical Doctor Association.

Dr. Xu graduated from Shandong University School of Medicine gaining a medical bachelor's degree. After that, he stayed in the hospital of Shandong University to begin his neurosurgery career. Then he received a master's degree in 1991 and a doctoral degree in 2003. In 2008-2009, Dr. Xu went to Hartford Hospital, USA, and Cleveland Clinic, USA for further study. Expertise in tumors at the skull base and Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery. Currently, he has undertaken one provincial project and attended one each project including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, ministry of health supported project, and provincial project. He has published 50 papers in international and national journals and conferences, and written 7 books as an editor-in-chief or an editor.
