Prof. Fan is the Member of the Clinical Virology Group of the Chinese Medical Association Medical Virology Branch, the Member of the Liver Disease Professional Committee of the National Tumor Minimally Invasive Therapy Industry Technology Innovation Alliance, the Deputy Leader of the Youth Group of the Medical Virology Branch of the Shandong Medical Association, the Deputy Leader of the Liver Failure Group of the Infectious Diseases Branch of the Shandong Medical Association, the Member of the Youth Group of the Hepatology Branch of the Shandong Medical Association. Prof. Fan is the Associate Editor of Hepatitis Monthly (SCI), Associate Editor of The Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology (SCI), ranks in the Editorial Board of Exploratory Research and Hypothesis in Medicine. Prof. Fan has severed as reviewer for more than 30 journals including Gut, Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Ebiomedicine et al. Prof. Fan has graduated from Qingdao University School of Medicine with a major in clinical medicine in 2004, received a master's degree from Shandong University in 2007, and a doctorate degree in internal medicine from Shandong University in 2015. Since 2007, he has been engaged in clinical and scientific research in the Department of Hepatology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. His main research directions are hepatitis B immune mechanism and molecular markers for clinical diagnosis and prognosis. Prof.Fan has authored more than 120 papers and published 18 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author. Prof. Fan is the principal investigator of one National key R & D plan, two National Natural Science Foundation of China, one Shandong Provincial Key R&D Program, one Shandong Natural Science Foundation, one Shandong University Independent Innovation Fund, and is the core member of the "Photodynamic Medicine" youth cross-innovation group of Shandong University. Prof. Fan has participated in more than 10 projects including the National Science and Technology Major Projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Development Plan, and the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation. In second place, he won 2 second prizes of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (2012, 2017).
