Delegation from Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Health Visits Qilu Hospital

Recently, a delegation led by Director Sultanov Kudaibyar of the Medical Anti-Corruption Bureau and Strategic Development Bureau of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan visited Qilu Hospital. Chen Xin, Chairman of the Hospital Council, hosted the delegation for discussions. The meeting was co-chaired by Cheng Yufeng and Peng Jun, Vice Presidents of Qilu Hospital. Representatives from the hospital’s International Affairs Department and relevant clinical departments also participated.

Chen Xin warmly welcomed the delegation and emphasized the long-standing friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan, which share a close geographical and historical bond. Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Sadyr Japarov, bilateral relations have reached their best stage in history, achieving significant results in Belt and Road cooperation. Chen noted that Qilu Hospital highly values collaboration with the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health and medical institutions, hoping the visit would further deepen pragmatic cooperation in the medical field. The goal is to enhance the health and well-being of the two peoples and contribute to the community of shared health of mankind.

Sultanov Kudaibyar expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highlighting China’s significant achievements in medical equipment manufacturing and pharmaceutical research. He commended Qilu Hospital for its pioneering efforts in talent cultivation, discipline development, and international cooperation. Sultanov regarded this visit as a crucial step in fostering mutual trust and building a foundation for future collaboration. During the meeting, He briefly introduced the current situation of Kyrgyzstan's healthcare system and development situation, and claimed that Kyrgyzstan is actively seeking in-depth cooperation with Qilu Hospital in healthcare, hoping to enhance exchanges between the two sides in medical technology, medical research and talent cultivation, and to jointly promote the development of healthcare and scientific and technological innovation in the two countries.

Cheng Yufeng presented the history, development, and strategic planning of Qilu Hospital. He emphasized that the hospital has been paying efforts to strengthen connections with Belt and Road countries, striving to deliver more accessible medical services of higher quality. He hoped that the meeting would serve as a starting point for both sides to work together with an open and inclusive attitude of mutual learning and exchange. Centered on the development of healthcare in both countries and aiming to enhance the quality of medical services, both parties would deeply explore the potential for cooperation, and advance China-Kyrgyzstan healthcare collaboration to new heights, contributing more wisdom and strength to the global health.


During the discussion session, relevant personnel from the departments of cardiology, hematology, orthopedics, and infectious diseases introduced their areas of expertise. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on mutually concerned fields, and on future cooperation plans and collaborative research.

After the meeting, the delegation toured the hospital’s Biobank, Laboratory Animal Center, Basic Medical Research Center, and Digestive Endoscopy Venter to observe their operations.
