On the afternoon of June 25th, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University held a choral performance and July 1 commendation ceremony celebrating the CPC centenary, reviewing CPC’s glorious tradition, summing up the Party’s successful experience, praising its achievements and celebrating its birthday. Vice President of Shandong University Yi Fan, President of Qilu Hospital Chen Yuguo, Deputy Secretaries of the CPC Committee of Qilu Hospital Su Hua, Lin Yajie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Secretary of the Committee for Discipline Inspection of Qilu Hospital Chen Yingying, Chief Accountant Liu Qing, Vice Presidents Ji Chunyan, Yan Chuanzhu, Cheng Yufeng, Tian Hui, Vice presidential leader Zhang Wanmin, members of the CPC Committee of the hospital Zhang Xinping, Xu Feng, and assistant to the president Yu Chenghao attended the event. The event was hosted by Su Hua.

With the solemn national anthem of the People’s Republic of China playing, the convention unveiled its curtain. Lin Yajie introduced the relevant information on Party Central Committee awarding the “Glorious 50-Year Party Membership” medal to Party members with over 50-year Party membership. Chen Yingying delivered the CPC Committee of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University’s Resolution on Awarding Outstanding Party Members, Outstanding Party Workers, and Outstanding Grassroots Party Organizations. Leaders attended the celebration presented prizes to award-winners. Zhou Riguang, representative of Party members with over 50-year membership and the former Secretary of the CPC Committee of the hospital, Zhang Zongli, representative of outstanding Party members and Director of the Department of General Surgery, Zhang Guilan, representative of outstanding Party workers and Secretary of the general Party branch of Internal Medicine, and Wang Weinan of general Party branch of General Surgery of Qingdao Campus, also the representative of outstanding grassroots Party organizations gave speeches respectively.

Chen Yuguo extended festive greetings to all Party members of the hospital and congratulated the commended collectives and individuals. Subsequently, Chen Yuguo taught a class on the topic of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind; strive to write a new chapter of high-quality hospital development”. During the class, Chen Yuguo elaborated on the significance of deeply carrying out Party history learning and education to increase understanding and confidence, to honor virtue and devote to practice. He pointed out that at the important moment of celebrating the CPC centenary and the historical intersection of the “Two Centenary Goals”, we must adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, focus on people’s health, invigorated by reform and innovation, guided by the establishment of three coordinated mechanisms of medicine, discipline and operation, based on the continuous optimization of hospital conditions, and take “improving quality, strengthen foundation, building team, emphasizing on management, uplifting spirits and expanding space” as the main line to deeply implement the Five Development Strategies, accelerate to construct the comprehensive national regional medical center, and strive to build the national clinical medical research center and specialized national regional medical center, injecting a strong impetus to Healthy China construction and regional socio-economic development. He emphasized that every member of Qilu Hospital should devote to building the domestic first-class and internationally renowned high-level research-oriented hospital, making greater contributions to fulfilling the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.
 
Su Hua pointed out in his speech that the 100 years CPC has passed is a century of practicing the original mission with determination, and embarking on a glorious journey. At present, the hospital is at a critical acceleration period of building a domestic first-class and internationally renowned high-level research-oriented hospital in all respects, desperately in need of outstanding role models and pioneers. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, we held this commendation ceremony to carry forward the power of role models, hoping all Party members, Party workers and medical staff of our hospital to learn from veteran Party comrades and outstanding Party members and organizations, integrate individual efforts into the process of building the hospital from big to strong and the historical process of national prosperity and rejuvenation, contribute wisdom and strength to achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and deliver a satisfactory result to Party and the people.

 After the commendation ceremony, the choral performance to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC was held. Under the elaborate organization and planning of the Labor Union of the hospital, every Party branch, and relevant functional and clinical departments have attached great importance to the performance. 11 choruses of over 600 hospital staff participated, expressing their sincere love and blessing to the Party. The performance was solemn, simple, and lively, which fully demonstrated the unity and positive spirit of our hospital staff, creating a strong atmosphere of celebrating the centenary of the CPC.


Nearly 200 people attended the event, including Party members with over 50-year Party membership, “Two Excellence and One Advance” award-winning comrades, secretaries of the CPC committee, secretaries of general Party branches, main responsible comrades of party and administrative functional departments, and representatives of medical Party members. The event was broadcast live on the internet at the same time.
