On October 18th, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University held the Hospital President Forum of the Public Hospital’s High-Quality Development for its 130th Anniversary. Wang Yi, Director of Medical Resource Department, Bruneau of Medical Policy and Management, National Health Commission of China attend the meeting and analysis policies. Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Health Commission Qin Chengyong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Science, Vice President of Shandong University & President of Cheeloo Medical College Chen Zjiang, President of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University Chen Yuguo attend the meeting and delivered speeches. Vice Presidents of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University Yan Chuanzhu and Tianhui attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Zhao Hong, the Founder and CEO of CN-Healthcare.
Qin Chengyong extended warmest congratulations to Qilu Hospital on its 130th anniversary. He said that since the year of 2019, as one of the first four pilot provinces for regional medical center at national level jointly constructed by Health Commission and provincial government, Shandong Province has actively played a positive role of high-quality medical institute in this region, continuously deepened the reform of public hospitals, and effectively realized the overall improvement of medical service capability in this region. He requested that as the main unit of comprehensive regional medical center at national level, Qilu Hospital should not only keep a trend of rapid development, but also lay emphasis on the quality of development. He expected Qilu Hospital to make more and greater contributions to the advancement of medical service and public health.
Chen Zijiang affirmed the development of Qilu Hospital over the past century. She said that Qilu Hospital has accumulated a unique character and fine tradition over the past 130 years, which has set up a standard for the development of modern medicine in Shandong. She hopes that Qilu Hospital will further strengthen cooperation and exchanges with sister hospitals across the country,
strive to achieve an unconventional and leapfrog development of high quality, promote the construction of a domestic first-class and internationally renowned high-level research hospital, in order to promote the construction of “Healthy China” and “Healthy Shandong” strategy and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Wang Yi focused on the analysis of national medical center, regional medical center at national level, and regional medical center. He introduced relevant policies in detail including requirements for setting, application and assessment of these projects. Director of National Geriatric Medicine Institute Wang Jianye, Vice Chairman of Ethics Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, President/Editor-in-Chief of Peking Union Medical College Press Yuan Zhong, President of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University Wang Xinghuan, President of West China Hospital of Sichuan University Li Weimin , and Deputy President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University Ma Xiancang shared their experience under the theme of "Eternal Anti-Pandemic Spirit", "Mass Anti-Pandemic—Stories of Leishenshan Hospital", “Refinement Operation Enhances the High-Quality Development of Hospitals” and “Practices and Reflection of the Construction of Intelligent Hospitals”. Presidents of major hospitals and scholars discussed and exchanged their views upon the topic of "Building a Regional Medical Highland with Integrity and Solidarity", "Showing Medical Humanistic Quality through Providing Universal Assistance" and "Touching the Pulse of High-Quality Development through Seeking Excellence and Honesty".
On behalf of Qilu Hospital, President Chen Yuguo extended heartfelt thanks and warm welcome to everyone. He said that the high-quality development needs the hospital to strengthen connotation construction and to create a regional medical highland. The hospital should enhance governance capabilities and the modernization of governance system, implore and innovate organizational structure, operation management, and cultural construction, and actively promote the transformation and upgrading of the development patterns, service and management models, in order to create a hospital that will reassure the government, be respected by the society, and satisfy the masses.
As one of the sub-forums of high-quality development forums for the 130th anniversary of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, this Hospital President Forum follows the pace of times and policies, combines with the current hot topics of the medical industry and hospital development, and sets up a great platform for strengthening wisdom sharing and cooperation among major hospitals in China. Nearly 16,000 people attended the meeting in person or online, including relevant officials from hospital functional departments and staff representatives.
