Prof. Pengfei Zhang is a licensed
Interventional Cardiologist (Structural Heart Disease and Coronary Heart Disease) and a
CDFI Echocardiologist.
He received the doctoral degree from Shandong University in 2005, and worked as the post-doctoral researcher in Ohio State University in USA thereafter. He was former guest professor in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science. He is a reviewer for several scientific journals including European Heart Journal-Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention Society (MICCAI), etc.
His research interests include cardiovascular imaging, biomaterials and artificial intelligence. As principle investigator, he has 14 projects granted from Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China and Chinese Ministry of Education, etc. He has published 40 scientific papers indexed by the SCI, and another 29 papers in Chinese. He has 6 granted patents, 3 PCTs and another 18 patents has been applied.
