Professor Cheng Zhang is winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholar, leading talent of National "Ten Thousand Plan", first batch of top youth talents of National "Ten Thousand Plan", New Century Outstanding Talent of Ministry of Education, Distinguished Professor of "Taishan Scholar" of Shandong Province. He is now the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Remodeling and Function Research, Ministry of Education, standing Committee member of Cardiovascular Disease Branch, Chinese Medical Association, deputy leader of basic Science group, Cardiovascular Medicine Branch, Chinese Medical Association. Over the years, he has been engaged in the basic and clinical research of cardiovascular diseases in atherosclerosis. He has published more than 120 papers indexed by SCI in international famous journals such as Nat Med and Nat Rev Cardiol, with a total impact factor of over 600 and over 1,900 citations. He won the second prize of National Natural Science, China Youth Science and Technology Award, first prize of Ministry of Education natural Science, second Prize of Shandong Province Natural Science and other academic awards.In recent years, as the project leader, he has undertaken national 863 major projects, National Outstanding Youth Fund projects and other scientific research projects, with a total expenditure of more than 20 million yuan.
