Dr. Jianjun Dong is the director of internal medicine in East Hospital of Qilu Hospital, serve concurrently as the vice chairman of the Thyroid Disease Prevention and Control Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the chairman of the Shandong Preventive Medicine Association Thyroid Disease Prevention and Control Branch, the vice chairman of Shandong Endocrinology Society, the vice chairman of Endocrinology Branch of Shandong Medical Association, the vice chairman of Endocrinology and Metabolism Branch of Shandong Preventive Medicine  Association, the vice chairman of Thyroid Branch of National Telemedicine and Internet Medical Center, Member of Diabetes Pediatric Group of Chinese Diabetes Society . Engage in clinical work for 31 years, dedicate to the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently-occurring diseases in endocrine and metabolic diseases, and be good at diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases and rescue of critical diseases. He specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of various types of diabetes, thyroid related diseases and osteoporosis. A large number of new technologies such as radioactive iodine 131 treatment for patients with hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer, autologous bone marrow stem cell therapy for diabetes, and intracavitary interventional therapy for diabetic lower extremity vascular diseases have been carried out. He presided over or participated in 8 funds including the National Natural Science Foundation and Science and Technology Research Plan. He has won 1 second prize and 4 third prizes of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award, and published 78 articles, of which 18 were published in Chinese journals, and 46 were published in SCI journals.
