Dr. Miao Xu was awarded Qilu Young Scholar of Shandong University. She is Council member in the Chinese Association of Young Scientists and Technologists, and Member of the Platelet Disease Working Committee of the Hematology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society.

Her scientific interests focus on platelet and immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). The studies include the pathogenesis of ITP, the therapeutic effects of novel reagents and clinical trials. The first-author/co-first author scientific papers had been published in Blood (Impact Factor 16). Currently, she is funded by both NSFC and SDSFC for two scientific fundings.
