Dr. Xiuli Zuo is the Distinguished Professor of ‘Taishan Scholar’ of Shandong, doctoral supervisor of Shandong University, winner of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award (first prize).

Dr. Zuo is specialized in diagnosis and treatment of functional gastrointestinal diseases, small bowel diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases and gastrointestinal tumors. She is expertised in enteroscopy, confocal laser endomicroscopy and endoscopic treatment. Dr. Zuo is the first specialist in Shandong Province to carry out single-balloon enteroscopy, enteroscopy incarcerated stone lithotripsy, endoscopic resection of small bowel polyps in PJ syndrome, small bowel hemangioma sclerosis and other innovative technologies. She has published more than 80 SCI papers, with a personal H factor of more than 22, and undertaken one project of National Key Research and Development Project, one project of Shandong Key Research and Development Project, four projects of National Natural Science Foundation, and several other provincial and ministerial-level projects.
