He mainly engaged in the scientific research and clinical work of trauma orthopedics, trauma emergency and spinal surgery. He carried out the basic and clinical research of lumbar spine-iliac internal fixation to reconstruct the stability of the lumbosacral pelvis was carried out earlier in China. He proposed the concept of "posterior iliac bone" internal fixation and lumbosacral pelvic injury, and a special lumbar pelvic injury was developed. He invented operating instruments and internal fixation materials and have obtained 2 national patents, and published 2 SCI articles and 5 core journals. He is in a leading position in China in the treatment of closed and open pelvic fractures, perineal tears and combined Morel-Lavallée triple injuries with lumbar iliac fixation and reconstruction of the lumbar pelvic link, and iliac nails to reconstruct the posterior pelvic ring. He has very rich experience in the treatment of multiple injuries, especially the damage control of severe trauma, and severe trauma combined with septic shock. He treated the rare steel penetration injury in the world in 2016-06. He is good at closed reduction and minimally invasive internal fixation of the pelvis, early development of sacroiliac screw technology in the country, especially good at single-access reduction and internal fixation of complex acetabular fractures and channel screw internal fixation technology, old pelvic instability pain and old Functional reconstruction of acetabular fracture. He has been engaged in intramedullary nail technology for more than 20 years, and has rich experience in intramedullary nails for limbs, especially in the proximal humerus intramedullary nails. He has extensive experience in the treatment of nonunion after intramedullary nailing. He is good at deformity correction and reconstruction of old limb fractures, bone transfer and extension technology to treat bone nonunion and osteomyelitis. He has made great achievements in the innovative minimally invasive treatment of complex tibial plateau fractures and complex Pilon fractures. He has extensive clinical experience in dealing with skin, muscle and soft tissue avulsion injuries or even open fractures with vascular and nerve rupture. He also has deep attainments in spine surgery, especially in various injuries of the craniocervical area and upper cervical spine, cervical disc herniation, cervical/upper thoracolumbar fracture and dislocation, and spinal cord injury. He created the shortest surgical record of 36 minutes for anterior cervical discectomy, ilium bone grafting and internal fixation. He underwent one-stage resection of adhesive OPLL anterior cervical spine, avoiding combined anterior and posterior surgery. He has deep attainments and rich clinical experience for intractable and sudden various neck, shoulder, waist and leg pains. He was the first in the province to carry out internal fixation with interlocking intramedullary nails for the treatment of fractures and nonunions of long shaft fractures such as ulna and radius. He developed the diagnosis and treatment of hyponatremia and diabetes insipidus after cervical spinal cord injury.
